Aspire Park Tailgate
A community-focused tailgate at Aspire Park during Tennessee football weekend. Through photography and video, I captured the energy, people, and moments that defined the atmosphere leading up to kickoff.

People. Energy. Atmosphere.
A high-energy tailgate event at Aspire Park hosted by the Joe Hollingsworth Foundation during Tennessee football weekend. I was brought in to capture the experience through photography and video, focusing on the people, the setting, and the moments that made the night memorable. From games and conversation to candid interactions and crowd energy, the goal was to document the atmosphere of the park and the shared excitement leading up to kickoff.
A Night That Was About More Than the Game
This tailgate at Aspire Park was all about the energy of the crowd. From food and poker tables to conversations and reactions throughout the game, the focus was on capturing genuine moments as they happened. The space created an environment where people could relax, connect, and enjoy the experience together, and my goal was to document that atmosphere honestly through both photo and video.

Problem
Large events often focus on spectacle while overlooking the experience of the people attending. Moments of connection, interaction, and atmosphere can easily be lost when the focus shifts away from how the event actually feels on the ground.
For events like this, the challenge is capturing more than just what’s happening — it’s capturing how it feels to be there. The energy of the crowd, the conversations between plays, the laughter around food and games, and the shared moments that make the space come alive can be easy to miss without a focused, documentary approach.

Solution
The solution was to document the event as it was experienced focusing on people, energy, and interaction rather than just the setting.
The approach centered on capturing the atmosphere of the Aspire Park tailgate through candid photography and cinematic video. By focusing on the people, shared moments, and small details from food and games to conversations and reactions the coverage highlights the energy and personality of the event. The result is a visual story that reflects the excitement, community, and fun that made the tailgate feel special.

Concept
The concept was to highlight the event as a shared experience where people, atmosphere, and community come together in one space.
The Aspire Park tailgate was designed as more than just a pregame gathering it was a social experience built around connection, energy, and celebration. The concept focused on bringing people together in a vibrant outdoor setting where food, games, music, and conversation set the tone for the day. By capturing both wide moments and personal interactions, the visual story reflects the excitement, personality, and sense of community that defined the event.
